Fred Fabre

My films are concerned with how Art can highlight the failure of politics. The pieces, collaged memories of conflicts and present reality I witnessed around the world, explore history and memory.

My work is catalysed by previous various professional experiences, be it animation, journalism in conflicted areas, cinematography and painting. The work is a montage of past and present indebted to painting and filming. By revealing the essence of past socio-political moments inadequately contextualised in today's reality I am questioning the responsibility of politics in the present worldly destruction.
